The only retouching that should be done on the images in your portfolio should be minor blemish removal.  To go beyond that in your actual book would be unethical.  However for promotional items such as posters, CD covers, flyers, etc., just the right enhancement can help you create impact. 

Enhancing the eyes and smoothing the skin helps you create the look of a magazine cover.

While a summer tan looks better in your images...it's not always possible.  Tone enhancement not only gives you the healthy glow of a mid-summer tan but also helps to enhance muscle definition.

Various factors can effect your look and weight on the day of a shoot...a good Chinese meal the night before can add up to 6 lbs. of unwanted water weight.  In most cases this type of enhancement is not appropriate for your portfolio but in cases such as the one mentioned above, we can help you undo what the MSG did to you over night.
